A 23 or 24-year-old paid the current full national minimum wage rate of 8.20 an hour will need to be paid at least the NLW rate of 8.91 an hour. We know that inflation is at a level not seen for thirty years and that is before the additional costs caused by the increase in the energy price cap come into effect.
